Software Update: ATi Tray Tools 1.0.0.317

ATi Tray Tools has recently been upgraded to version 1.0.0.317. This program is able to change settings of a Radeon card in terms of DirectX and OpenGL. In addition, the speed of the GPU and the memory can be increased or decreased in a simple manner. In this release a number of changes have been made, such as support for the Radeon X800 and a new plugin that displays information about the ATi video card used. Below are the changes from the 1.0.0.293 release:

  • Improved plugins support, added some new functions to Plug-Ins API
  • New plugin added. Radeon Information. Gives general information about Radeon Cards like:
    • Installed Memory Size
    • Memory Type (SDRAM/DDR/DDR2)
    • Memory Width (64bit/128/256)
    • Rendering Pipelines count
  • Added support for RADEON X800 Series
  • Updated Game Profiles. Now you can use new option to restore previous setting for D3D/OGL after game ends.

  • Improved desktop shortcuts support
  • Fixed bug with loosing focus by games, which ran from desktop shortcuts.

  • Added support for AF mode with full Trilinear Filtering. Catalyst driver by default enable Trilinear filtering only on 0 stage textures. By enabling this mode, you will receive true Trilinear filtering on all texture stages.
  • Icon positions on desktop now will be restored after applying Direct3D settings.
