Software Update: Apple Mac OS X 10.2.6

Apple has an update posted for Mac OS X increasing the version number to 10.2.6. The patch includes improvements in image, sound and network. The release notes look like this:

The 10.2.6 update provides improved functionality and stability for the following programs, utilities, features, and technologies: Address Book, Print Center, Finder, Image Capture, Help Viewer, iChat, Mail ‘, ‘Disk Utility’, ‘Disk Image’, ‘Sherlock’, AppleScript, Bluetooth, Classic Compatibility, Graphics, IP Firewall, Kerberos, OpenGL, and Rendezvous.

The update includes improvements to AFP, Web services, PPP dial-up connections, and Windows file services, as well as improvements to audio, printing, and information capture on CDs and DVDs. In addition, compatibility with PC Card, USB, FireWire and SCSI devices has been increased.
