Software Update: AnyDVD 5.8.4.1

Slysoft released version 5.8.4.1 of AnyDVD yesterday. This program runs in the background of Windows and automatically ensures that all programs on the computer and the operating system itself “see” DVD movies as region-free and unprotected. In addition to some bug fixes, this version now also has support for the Settec ALPHA-DVD copy protection. The full changelog for this release is as follows:

Changes in version 5.8.4.1:

  • New: “Settec ALPHA-DVD protection” as found on “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” R2 (German) or “Old Boy – Final Edition” R3 (Korea) can now be copied with Drag and Drop in Windows explorer or with the copy command from the command prompt.
  • New: Added information about disc size and layer break position to the information window
  • New: Automatic language setting will now load brazilian portuguese, if the user locale is set to Portuguese (Brazil) in the regional settings.
  • Some minor fixes and improvements
  • Updated languages
