Red Chair Software has released version 8.7.0 of Anapod Explorer. This program is one of the better alternatives for managing the music collection on the iPod. The program integrates seamlessly into Windows and has an impressive list of features. For example, it supports streaming to play your music directly from the iPod, there are extensive options for adjusting your playlists and it has a built-in web server so that the iPod can be accessed from a web browser. In addition, it has an embedded SQL database engine, which offers extensive search options and can generate reports in text, HTML or XML. Latest Changes:

  • Detect and set access locks on the iPod
  • Automatically mount an iPod that is physically connected to the computer but not mounted as a drive yet
  • ‘Eject iPod’ function now sets the iPod to the usable menu state instead of the “Ok to Disconnect” state
  • “Eject iPod” Anapod will now wait on most systems for the last write operation to occur before trying to do the ejection
  • Added a new folder called “Utilities” to the top-level of the Anapod Explorer interface
