Software update: AM-DeadLink 2.00 beta 9
Anyone who surfs the internet a bit actively will quickly have a large collection of bookmarks. Your collection will soon contain the inevitable double links, or worse, links to pages that no longer exist. However, cleaning up bookmarks is a tedious and time-consuming task. With AM-DeadLink this problem is easy to solve. This program scans all your bookmarks for the above mentioned issues, after which you can easily remove problem cases. There’s also the option to spice things up a bit by locally storing favicons that some websites use. AM-DeadLink works with most browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla and Opera. The changelog shows the following changes:
2.00 Beta-9
- The internal check method now uses cookies from Internet Explorer. If login data are stored in cookies then AM-DeadLink can now check the correct page.
2.00 Beta-8
- Opera 7.5 FavIcons supported
- Some redirection problems fixed
- Improved detection of IE Proxy settings
- Some smaller fixes/improvements
2.00 Beta-7
- AM-DeadLink can now change IE favorites with the read-only attribute
- Bugfix: FavIcon-Check was not terminated for URL files with read-only attribute
- AM-DeadLink can now be closed while the check process is running
- After installation AM-DeadLink asks which UI language should be used
