Download 7-Zip 4.52 beta
A new beta release of the open source archiving program 7-Zip has just been released with version number 4.52. This program, which recently won the SourceForge Community Choice Awards in the ‘Best Project’ and ‘Best Technical Design’ categories, can handle the compression formats zip, cab, rar, arj, lzh, chm, gzip, bzip2 , z, tar, cpio, rpm, deb and of course the self developed 7z. In addition, it is also able to open iso files and nsis installation packages. This release includes support for so-called compound files added and fixed some unnamed bugs:
Changes in version 4.52 beta:
- 7-Zip now can unpack Compound files (msi, doc, …).
- Some bugs were fixed.
