A Sony A6000 owner has managed to launch Super Mario Kart on his camera via an emulator. Playing the game is not possible, however, because it is not possible to use the buttons of the camera for operation and because the device does not have a touchscreen.

The Sony A6000 camera was released in 2014 and users can equip the camera with apps with additional functions, which Sony itself offers through its PlayMemories Camera App Store. Developers have also found a way to run some Android apps on camera by using the OpenMemories tool.

In this way, an A6000 owner has placed an emulator on the camera and loaded a ROM of the SNES game Super Mario Kart into it. In a video you can see that the game starts, but according to the uploader the sound is missing and the game is also not playable. In the past, more practical applications have appeared for OpenMemories, which add extra camera functions.
