Signify is releasing a number of new Philips Hue lamps. This concerns two ceiling lamps, a ball lamp in white and warm white light. The Hue app will also be updated so that users can equalize the brightness of different lamps in one zone, regardless of the number of lumens.

Signify has the lamps posted on his website. This includes the Luster ball lamp with an E14 fitting. According to the company, this is the company’s smallest connected lamp to date. This lamp is available as a white and warm white variant and in a color variant. The Luster has a brightness of 470 lumens. The lamp costs 34.99 euros for the lamp with white light and 64.99 euros for the color model.

The company also brings the Aurelle ceiling lamp off with a rectangular shape in cool white light that is offered in a black or white version. There are three variants: a 600x600mm and a 1200x300mm model for 239.99 euros and a 300x300mm model for 169.00 euros. The other ceiling lamp is the Surimu, which has a round shape. It costs 229.99 euros.

Signify also says that the Hue app will be adapted with two new features. One of them is called the brightness balancer. This allows individual lights in the same entertainment zone to be adjusted. Now, unlike residential zones, entertainment zones can only be updated collectively. The ‘balancer’ aspect refers to the fact that the lamps can automatically switch to the same brightness, even if the lamps have different light intensities. This means that all lamps in such an entertainment zone provide the same light. However, that feature will not appear until the third quarter of this year.

During the same period it will also be possible to expand the number of time slots for motion sensors to ten. Now there are two more, which most users use for morning and evening, but adding more will make it possible to add more options for other times of the day.
