Sennheiser Introduces HD 400 PRO Studio Headphones

Sennheiser introduces its HD 400 PRO studio headphones. According to the manufacturer, these open headphones are intended for music producers to mix and edit with. The headphones are available immediately and have a suggested retail price of 249 euros.

The HD 400 PRO studio headphones have a frequency response of between 6 and 38,000 hertz. Sennheiser promises a deep and ‘well-defined’ bass, with a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.05 percent. The headphones are circumaural and have an open back. The sound pressure level of the HD 400 PRO is 100dB. The studio headphones also contain an impedance of 120 Ohms.

The headphones come with a detachable spiral cable of 3 meters and a straight cable of 1.8 meters. According to Sennheiser, users can choose what they prefer to use. Both cables have a 3.5mm jack plug for portable sound sources. A 6.3mm adapter is also included. This allows the headphones to be connected to a mixing console or audio interface.
