Samsung phone batteries swell with reviewers, and that’s a problem

Several tech reviewers say, in response to questions from YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss, that the battery of their older Samsung phone swells. That’s explainable, but it’s also a problem for anyone who wants to leave an old phone in a drawer.

As soon as I opened the box, I saw that something was wrong. The phone was in it strangely, different from how it should be. Carefully I took the phone out of the box and it soon became clear; the battery had swollen and the back had come loose. It was a fascinating and at the same time a little scary sight.
