Samsung has introduced the Q700T. This is a Qled television with an 8k resolution that comes out in two screen diagonals, namely 55 and 65 inches. The smallest will be priced at £ 1,999, making it a relatively inexpensive 8k TV from Samsung.

Samsung has currently only announced the introduction of the Q700T on its own British website. This shows that the 55 “version of the 8k TV will cost £ 1999 and the 65” version is 700 pounds more expensive. On this basis, euro prices would amount to EUR 2,239 and more than EUR 3,000 respectively. Samsung has not yet announced official euro prices or information about a release in euro countries. The television is currently already for sale via the British Samsung website.

The Q700T is being marketed as a relatively inexpensive entry-level 8k TV, which is less advanced than the Q800T. faldbacklight is present with fewer individually dimmable zones. The new television also has functions such as Object Tracking Sound +, which can also be found with more expensive televisions of the brand. This function is intended to improve the sound experience, because the sound moves with the image, as it were. The peak brightness is 1000cd / m², there is support for hlg, hdr10 and hdr10 + and the television runs on Tizen.

It is unclear whether the Q700T has HDMI 2.1 connections. According to some other websites, the television supports AMD’s Freesync and Fr., although Samsung says in the specification list that FreeSync is not available. The manufacturer may announce more about the new model during the upcoming live stream, as part of the IFA program.
