Samsung’s digital assistant Bixby will receive support for children’s accounts in South Korea and the United States. That has been announced by the manufacturer. Parents must create an account for children.

The ability to create accounts for children is in Bixby version 3.3.03.2, reports SamMobile. Users can create an account for their child in South Korea and the United States within their Samsung account. It is unclear what the possibilities and limitations are of a child account.

The feature should come to more countries later, says Samsung. It is unclear which countries these are and when that will come. Many web services have the option for child accounts, where parents can often set limits and have insight into usage.

Bixby is Samsung’s digital assistant and competes with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, among others. A few years ago, Samsung pushed the feature by putting a separate Bixby button on its Galaxy S phones, but the company has since stopped doing so.
