Rumor: Samsung’s Exynos 2500 SoC gets RDNA4 GPU and contains Lpddr5t memory

Samsung’s Exynos 2500 SoC reportedly has an AMD GPU based on RDNA4 architecture. This may be Samsung’s first SoC based on the 3nm process. In addition, the successor to the Exynos 2400 SoC would have support for Lpddr5t memory.

This information comes from Revegnus, who shares the possible specifications of the Exynos 2500 on the social medium X. The leaker also reports that support for Lpddr6 memory will be available from 2026. It is not known on which sources Revegnus, or @Tech_Reve, bases these claims.

Earlier this month, Samsung released the first details of the Exynos 2400 SoC. The SoC would reportedly appear in the European version of the Samsung Galaxy 24, instead of a Qualcomm SoC in other markets. The new Galaxy phones will reportedly be released in January 2024. The biggest improvements to the Exynos 2400 SoC are in AMD’s RDNA3 GPU, the AI ​​chip and the CPU cluster. The latter is said to be seventy percent faster than its predecessor, the Exynos 2200-soc.

Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations for the Exynos 2400. Samsung brought in GPU talents primarily for the 2500, not the 2400.
