Samsung may release its next Galaxy Watch wearable on August 11. That reports well-known leaker Jon Prosser. This Galaxy Watch 4 would be available as a regular and Active variant. Two new Fold phones would be released on August 27.

Prosser writes on FrontPageTech that the Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in a 42mm or 46mm variant, while the Active model comes with 40mm and 44mm cases. Prosser writes that the Galaxy Watch 4 will be launched on the market on August 11.

According to the leaker, that does not mean that the wearable will be announced on that date; Samsung would start shipping Galaxy Watch 4 watches on August 11. Samsung will hold a presentation at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on June 28, where it will also discuss its smartwatch ecosystem.

At the same time, it seems well-known leaker Max Weinbach on Twitter to suggest that Samsung is announcing its upcoming smartwatch on August 3. On the same date, the company would show two new Fold 3 smartphones, which according to Prosser will appear in stores on August 27.

There have been rumors about the Galaxy Watch 4 for some time. According to previous reports from ETNews, the wearable will, for example, get a function to measure blood sugar levels. The next Apple Watch would also have such a function, according to the same source. Samsung also merges its Tizen operating system with Google’s Wear OS. Future Galaxy Watch watches will therefore use the updated Wear OS, and will no longer run on Tizen. This is expected to also apply to the Galaxy Watch 4.
