The dollar prices of Google’s upcoming cheaper Pixel smartphones are probably known. A YouTube channel has their hands on images of the retail packaging and also mentions the prices. Google will probably announce the phones next Tuesday.

According to the video on YouTube channel This is Tech Today, the suggested retail price of the Google Pixel 3a is $399 and the larger 3a XL model costs $479. For that money, buyers would get a version with 64GB of flash storage. According to rumors, there will also be 128GB versions, but it is not yet known what they will cost.

At the end of March, the German site WinFuture reported that the Pixel 3a in Europe costs about 450 euros. The amount of 399 dollars has been converted with 21 percent VAT to approximately 430 euros, so that is in the same line.

This is Tech Today has a picture of the Canadian Pixel 3a packaging and it appears to be real. For example, there is a universal product code that corresponds to a mention of the Pixel 3a at a large American retail chain. The packaging states that the device has a 5.6 “screen. This Is Tech Today says it has information from a Google engineer, who previously passed on information about Duplex.

According to previous rumors, both phones are made of plastic and have a 1080p screen, a headphone jack and speakers on the bottom. Many details about the Pixel 3a phones have already been leaked in recent months. Reportedly they get a Snapdragon 670 or 710-soc, 4GB ram, a 12-megapixel camera and a 3000mAh battery.

Google is likely to announce the phones on May 7 at its I/O 2019 developer event. The manufacturer posted a teaser last month that hints at that.
