Rumor: Apple puts ‘record’ button on iPhone 16

Apple would put a ‘record’ button on the iPhone 16, according to a new rumor. It would be located under the Power button.

The button is said to be on the right, but its function is unknown, reports MacRumors. From the name and location, it’s obvious that one of its features will be allowing users to use it as a camera button. It is a capacitive button. The rest of the buttons remain physical.

There is also a design without the button, MacRumors reports. All new iPhone 16 models would get the button. This year’s iPhone 15 models have received an Action button, replacing the mute switch that has been on all iPhone models since 2007.
