Developer Psyonix will release a PS4 Pro patch for Rocket League next week. After the update, according to the makers, the game will be playable in 4k resolution at 60fps in all arenas in single-player or split-screen with two players.

When using split-screen for three or four players, 60fps is achieved in ‘most’ arenas, Psyonix says in a post on the PlayStation blog. When using the regular PS4 console, it should be possible to play in 1080p resolution at 60fps after the update under the same conditions.

Along with the free update comes a new Hot Wheels DLC, with cars available for purchase. Some Hot Wheels items are available in-game for free. In addition, “technical improvements” are made to the PS4 version of the game and several bugs are fixed. The update will be available to download from February 21.
