Realme releases its first laptop. The company provides this realme Book with Windows 10, a Tiger Lake CPU from Intel and a 3:2 screen with IPS panel. The laptop will be released in India on August 30 and should also be released in the European market.

The realme Book will be available in two variants, with an Intel Core i3-1115G4 or Core i5-1135G7 CPU. The i3 and i5 have two and four cores with hyperthreading respectively. The laptop uses the integrated GPUs of those processors; the i3 variant has an Intel UHD Graphics GPU, while the i5 version has a Xe GPU.

The company provides the realme Book with i3 CPU with a 256GB SSD and the i5 variant gets a 512GB SSD. Both models come with 8GB of memory, although the i3 variant has Lpddr4x-3733 memory and the i5 version has Lpddr4x-4266 memory.

The 14″ screen also has an IPS panel with a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels. This gives the panel a relative screen ratio of 3:2. The screen could display 100 percent of the sRGB color space and offer a peak brightness of 400cd/m². The realme Book has a 54Wh battery that can be charged at 65W via USB C. The i5 variant supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, while the i3 model has Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 respectively. The laptop is relatively thin, with a height of 15.5mm at its thickest point.

In addition, the realme Book with i5 processor features a Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 connector, and a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A connector, in addition to a 3.5mm combo jack for audio and a microphone. The Thunderbolt 4 port is replaced in the i3 model with a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 type C connector. The regular USB 3.2 Gen 2 connector is missing.

TechRadar writes that the laptop will initially be introduced in India, but should eventually become available in “certain other markets”, including Europe. The laptop has since surfaced on the Indian realme website, where it is called the realme Book Slim. The laptop will be sold there from August 30th with a suggested retail price from 46,999 rupees, which translates to about 540 euros. The laptop is not yet on the European realme website. Official euro prices are likely to follow at a later date, closer to the European release.
