Realme has announced the GT2 Pro and GT2 smartphones. The Pro variant has a secondary camera with an angle of view of 150 degrees. The GT2 has a 119-degree ultra-wide angle lens, which is more common. The GT 2 Pro is for sale in China from around 543 euros.

The GT2 Pro gets a 6.7” LTPO AMOLED screen with a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The device has the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 soc with 8GB, or 12GB of lpddr5 memory and either 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The smartphone has three cameras: a primary shooter with a 50-megapixel sensor, the Sony IMX766, a secondary camera that also has a 50-megapixel sensor and an angle of view of 150 degrees. As a result, the Realme GT2 Pro has the widest angle of view in a smartphone camera to date. The angle of view of ultra-wide-angle lenses on smartphones is often between 110 and 125 degrees. Finally, the Real Me GT2 Pro features a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

The device has a 5000mAh battery that can quickly charge with 65W. To keep the device cool during intensive tasks, it has an improved cooling system that includes an extensive vapor chamber that should help dissipate heat better. Realme has redesigned the antenna to make 5G connectivity more stable. The stability of Wi-Fi connections would have been improved and NFC should also work better.

The regular version of the device, the Realme GT2, has a 6.62 “amoled screen that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. That panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The GT2 runs on a Snapdragon 888-soc. Customers can choose between 8GB or 12GB memory and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Like the Pro version, the GT 2 has a primary camera with a 50-megapixel sensor. The secondary camera has 8 megapixels and an angle of view of 119 degrees. The third camera has a 2 megapixel macro lens. The GT2, just like the Pro variant, has a 5000mAh battery that can quickly charge with 65W. Both versions have an optical fingerprint scanner under the screen, come with Android 12 and the Realme UI 3.0 skin.

Realme announces the devices for the Chinese market and according to GSMArena an international release will follow in the first quarter of this year. In China you can buy the Realme GT 2 from 2699 yuan, about 380 euros. The GT 2 Pro is on sale from 3899 yuan. That is converted about 543 euros.
