Razer announces gaming headset and webcam with ring light

Razer has announced a number of new peripherals. Among them is his Electra V2 gaming headset, but also a webcam with ring lamp and a USB microphone, with which the company focuses on streamers.

The headset is equipped with a detachable microphone and according to Razer should be able to deliver virtual 7.1 surround. The frame of the headphones is made of aluminum. Two versions are available, one with a 3.5mm jack and the other with a USB connection. The length of the included cable comes down to 1.3m and users can turn the green backlight of the earcups on and off. The latter is only possible with the USB version. Other than that, there are no differences between the two variants.

Razer has named its new webcam Kiyo and has also equipped the four-megapixel camera with a ring lamp, which users can set the brightness to twelve different levels. At 60fps, users have to make do with 720p, with 30fps it becomes 1080p, the company reports. The ring lamp consists of 12 LEDs and has a color temperature of 5600 Kelvin. The camera is also compatible with streaming software OBS and Xsplit.

The new condenser microphone has been named Seiren X by the company. It has a detachable leg and can be connected via a USB port. There is also a shock absorber to compensate for unwanted touches. The frequency range is 20Hz to 20kHz. Razer has given the microphone a price of 109 euros. For the headset, the company asks 59.99 euros, with the USB version costs 10 euros more. The webcam costs 109.99 euros and all devices are now available.
