Rally Game WRC 9 Coming September 3rd For Consoles And PC

Publisher Nacon and developer KT Racing announce WRC 9. The official rally game around the FIA ​​World Rally Championship. The game will be released on September 3 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game will later come to Switch and next-gen consoles.

According to the developer, WRC 9 will have an improved career mode, with new team upgrade options, more event variety and “a stronger connection to what the teams from the real championship are doing all year round.”

KT Racing says the rally cars’ handling has improved in WRC 9. According to the studio, the physics of things such as suspension, brakes and mass transfer were carefully considered. The studio also promises better sound. Furthermore, three new rallies will be added: Safari Rally in Kenya, Rally Japan on narrow asphalt roads and the rally in New Zealand that promises beautiful landscapes.

WRC 9 also gets new classic rally cars. According to the announcement, there are “more than fifteen”. Furthermore, all fifty current official teams are in the game. Nacon and KT Racing have extended the license with WRC Promoter until 2022 and will also release WRC 10 and WRC 11.

WRC 9 will be released on September 3 for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. The PC version will also be released via the Epic Games Store. It is not yet known whether that version will also come to another download store at a later date. Nacon reports that there will also be versions for the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. More details about the features of those versions will follow in the coming months.
