Publisher 505 Games invests almost 8 million euros in new Remedy game

The Finnish Remedy Games is joining forces with 505 Games. The Italian publisher is going to bring Remedy’s new game to the market and is investing 7.75 million euros in the development. The game, still known as Project 7, will be released for Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.

In return for the investment, 505 Games will receive 45 percent of the net proceeds from the game that Remedy Games develops. The Italian publisher also bears the costs for marketing and marketing the game, Remedy announced.

Little has been disclosed about Project 7. It will be a cinematic third person action game set in a Remedy-created universe. The game is made with Remedy’s own Northlight Engine, the same engine that the Finnish studio used for Quantum Break. The official name of the new game has not yet been announced.

In addition to Quantum Break, Remedy is known for Alan Wake and the first two Max Payne games. The games about detective Max Payne were published by publisher Rockstar Games, which now also owns the rights to the series. Alan Wake and Quantum Break were marketed by Microsoft. It is unknown when Project 7 will be released. In addition to physical releases for PC and consoles, there will also be a download version via Steam.
