PUBG Corporation has filed suit against NetEase, the maker of the mobile games Knives Out and Rules of Survival. According to the company, the games are too similar to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

According to the indictment, the marketing around the games is intended to persuade people to install the games by making them think it is PUBG. This is done, among other things, by copying elements from the gameplay and the interface, such as starting in the lobby, jumping out of the plane and reducing the playing field. Other elements from Battlegrounds also return, such as collecting weapons and clothing and bombing.

PUBG Corporation is demanding that Chinese NetEase remove both games, Knives Out and Rules of Survival, from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The charges are pending in a federal court in the US state of California. NetEase has not yet responded to the complaint.
