Poland wants to appeal to an EU court against the obligation to sell only zero-emission new cars from 2035. The country was the only country to vote against the EU law that requires this. According to Poland, too little research has been done into the consequences of the law.

Polish Climate Minister Anna Moskwa says according to Reuters want to go to the Court of Justice within a few days to stop the law. According to the minister, not enough research has been done into the consequences for the market and the social consequences of the law. Under the law, new passenger cars and small commercial vehicles may no longer emit CO2 from 2035, with the exception of cars that run only on e-fuels. Poland was the only country to vote against the law; Bulgaria, Italy and Romania abstained.
