Pictures show IKEA color smart lamp with E14 socket

A man has been able to buy an unofficially announced color lamp with a small socket at a Swedish branch of IKEA and put pictures of the lighting online. Despite the small fitting, the lamp itself is quite large.

The lamp has appeared in the Trådfri line and has the type number 504.115.65. The stock is said to have arrived at the IKEA of Stockholm in Sweden on Thursday. The color lamp with E14 fitting has not yet appeared on the Ikea site.

The man who bought the lamp reports on Reddit that it is so big that it only just fit in his Hektar lamp, also from IKEA. The lamp has a maximum brightness of 600 lumens and consumption of 8.6W. He paid 199 Swedish crowns for the lamp, equivalent to almost 19 euros. That is a lot cheaper than the Philips Hue color lamps with an E14 fitting, but those are slimmer candle lamps.

IKEA confirmed on Wednesday that it will release the color lamp with a small fitting, but has not yet officially announced it. The company already had a Trådfri lamp with shades of white and a small fitting in its range.
