‘Photo shows prototype of OnePlus 5 with dual camera’

AndroidAuthority has posted a photo online that would show a prototype of the OnePlus 5. The device has a dual camera, but according to the website it is not certain that the dual camera will also come to the final device.

An anonymous source has provided AndroidAuthority with a photo of the back of the device. The metal housing resembles that of the OnePlus 3T, but there is a dual camera. That corresponds to sketches that appeared on Weibo earlier.

OnePlus announced at the beginning of this month that the OnePlus 5 will be introduced in the summer. It is not certain whether the device will actually have a dual camera. The prototype could also be a study model.

The source of AndroidAuthority states that the OnePlus 5 uses more expensive components and that OnePlus will probably offer the phone for a higher amount than the current 3T. There are rumors that the device will get a Snapdragon 835-soc and 8GB of ram. Not only the parts, but also the design of the device would play a role in the higher price.

OnePlus currently sells its 3T for 439 euros. This means that the device is still cheaper than many models of the competition with comparable specifications. However, the price of OnePlus devices has risen with the arrival of each new model. The first OnePlus One was for sale from 269 euros.
