OnePlus shows appearance of 12 smartphone

OnePlus has shown off the appearance of the 12. The smartphone is very similar to its predecessor, but has the alert slider and the selfie camera in different places. The 12 also has a periscopic lens. OnePlus will introduce the phone on December 4.

Just like the 11, the OnePlus 12 has a prominent camera island on the back of the phone, which contains four round surfaces for the camera sensors. That island now contains, among other things, a periscopic camera; according to Android Police This is a variant that zooms in three times. Furthermore, there is a Sony LYT-808 48-megapixel sensor that serves as the main camera.

On the front, the selfie camera has been moved from the top left corner to the center of the top. The alert slider has now switched sides and is on the left side. The antenna would now be integrated into that slider, which should provide better range. This would not be possible if the slider were still on the right side, because the user would then cover this antenna with his or her fingers when the phone is used in landscape.

OnePlus releases the smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a 2K OLED screen with a brightness of more than 2600cd/m² and in the colors green, black and white. The company will introduce the smartphone on December 4.
