Tuxedo announces 16″ Linux gaming laptop with AMD CPU and GPU

Tuxedo announces a new Linux gaming laptop: the Sirius 16 Gen1. The 16-inch laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU and an AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU, and supports up to 96GB of DDR5 memory.

The Tuxedo Sirius 16 has a 16.1″ WQHD display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and an image refresh rate of 165Hz. The display has a peak brightness of 300cd/m². The laptop has an aluminum casing, weighs 2.3kg and has a thickness of 2. 2cm.

Tuxedo equips the Linux gaming laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU. It has eight Zen 4 cores, sixteen threads and a clock speed of up to 5.1GHz. There is also an AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU, based on the RDNA 3 architecture. The GPU contains 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and has a clock speed of up to 2300MHz. There is also support for up to 96GB DDR5 memory and Wi-Fi 6E.

Although the Sirius 16 comes standard with Tuxedo OS, there are also options for Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Ubuntu Budgie. The laptop will be available from mid-December. The standard configuration with 16GB of internal memory and 500GB of storage has a suggested retail price of 1699 euros.
