OnePlus 7 Pro users complain about ‘ghost touches’ on display

A growing number of OnePlus 7 Pro users are reporting touchscreen issues. That would occasionally have to do with ghost touches, where it seems like something on the screen is being touched without the user actually touching it.

Users are describing their problems on both the OnePlus forums and on social media such as Reddit. It is not clear how many users are involved in total.

The users all report about the same problems. With them it seems as if the screen is being touched while the user is not doing anything. That can be short, one-time touches, but other users also say that, for example, the notification screen is pulled down. The touches occur in all sorts of random places, both on the screen and in various places in the operating system.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is a more expensive version of the regular OnePlus 7, with a sharper display at 90Hz instead of 60Hz. It’s not clear if the problem is that or if it’s software related. OnePlus has not officially commented on the issues, but users say the company is aware of the reports.
