The official renders and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and the Watch4 Classic have appeared online. The smartwaches get OLED screens with a resolution of 450×450 pixels, an Exynos W920-soc, 1.5GB ram and 16GB flash storage.

Samsung releases the Galaxy Watch4 in 40mm and 44mm sizes and the Watch4 Classic is available in 42mm and 46mm versions. The two models are largely the same; the main difference is that the Classic features the rotating bezel for operation. The 44mm and 46mm versions have a slightly larger battery than the smaller variants, WinFuture writes. The German site says it has the official specifications and renders of the new Galaxy smartwatches.

In the 44mm and 46mm versions, Samsung uses a 1.36″ screen and in the smaller models it is a 1.19″ display. In both cases, these are AMOLED screens with a resolution of 450×450 pixels. The battery capacity is 247mAh and 361mAh, respectively for the small and large versions. The battery would last up to seven days on a charge, but under what conditions is unknown.

According to the leaked information, both watches will come in versions made of different materials, including aluminum and stainless steel. The OLED screens are finished with a protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass DX. The smartwatches contain an Exynos W920-soc, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage. The watches are waterproof to an IP68 rating. Connection options come in the form of Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi and NFC. There will also be 4G versions of the watches.

The smartwatches have sensors for measuring heart rate, blood oxygen and for making an electrocardiogram. Furthermore, the Watch4 models offer sleep tracking, fall detection and can track and predict the menstrual cycle. 40 sports activities are possible and ‘a handful’ is automatically detected.

Samsung will provide the watches with the new Android Wear OS, which was created from a combination of Samsung’s Tizen and Google’s Wear OS. Samsung puts its One UI Watch 3.5 on top of that. The manufacturer already showed that interface. The official introduction of the Galaxy Watch4 watches will follow on August 11 at Samsung’s Unpacked event.
