Oculus has announced that all pre-orders of the Rift have been delivered. From now on, orders for the VR glasses will be shipped within two to four working days. At the beginning of October, Oculus will announce more about the Touch controllers.

Customers can still order a maximum of one copy of the Rift per person, but waiting lists should be a thing of the past. Oculus apologizes for the delay in delivering all orders. Since January, consumers have been able to order the Oculus Rift. At the time, Oculus promised to ship from March 28, but many people didn’t get their VR glasses until months later.

Furthermore, Oculus says it is on track for the introduction of the Touch controllers. The company hasn’t given an exact date for when these will be available, but now Oculus says more will be announced at the third edition of the Oculus Connect event. That will take place from October 5 to 7, so it is likely that the Touch controllers will not be available until after that. Presumably, the motion controllers will be on sale from November.

Now that all pre-orders have been fulfilled, the manufacturer says it is in the process of increasing inventory for physical stores. There will also be more locations where VR glasses can be tried. Between now and the fall, the Rift is coming to 500 Best Buy stores and a number of Microsoft Stores. Currently it only concerns stores in the US; the Oculus Rift is not for sale or to try in stores in the Benelux.

A month ago competitor HTC announced that the Vive can be ordered immediately.
