NZXT has acquired Forge. The employees of Forge join the hardware maker and work on software there. Forge made software to make it easy to stream games to platforms like YouTube and Twitch.

The result of the takeover is that the Forge application will disappear. The makers say on their website that the software will shut down in the next 30 days, but that it will be easy for users to export clips they’ve made. Users can request their data by entering their email address. After September 1, all data will be deleted.

Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. The deal was completed on July 3, NZXT reports. The manufacturer of, among other things, enclosures says that all Forge employees will transfer and will work on software in various roles. Whether NZXT plans to work on software like Forge made is unknown. NZXT already has its own CAM software to keep track of components temperature and frame rates in games, for example.
