Nvidia has made a new variant of the GTX 1060, which will only be released in China. This is a version with the entire 1280 cudacores, combined with 5GB gddr5. The video card is said to be intended for gaming PCs in internet cafes.

The Chinese website EXPreview released the information about the new GTX 1060 variant and shows a photo of the GPU, which is called GP-106-350-K3-A1. Gigabyte briefly put a page online on its Chinese website with details about the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 5GB WindForce OC. That page has since been removed, but VideoCardz, among others, has adopted the specifications.

The 5GB variant has a 160-bit memory bus, with which the memory bandwidth is 160GB/s. That is 32GB/s lower than the GTX 1060 with 6GB, which has a 192bit memory bus. Except for the amount of memory and the memory bus, the specifications of the video card are the same as the Windforce OC variant of the GTX 1060 with 6GB.

The 5GB model will be offered cheaper, but it is not known what the difference in price is. According to EXPreview, the card will only be sold in bulk and is intended for internet cafes in China.

It is the fourth version of the GTX 1060 that Nvidia makes. Initially, the version with 6GB gddr5 appeared and shortly afterwards a variant with fewer cudacores and 3GB gddr5 was introduced. This year there were 6GB variants with faster 9Gbit/s memory.
