Hardware maker Nvidia seems to be working on a 2-in-1 device with a 13.5″ LCD. XDA-Developers reports that based on information in Nvidia’s own software. The device would run on a new version of Nvidia’s own Tegra- soc.

Nvidia canceled successors to the Shield K1 tablet in 2016, but the Shield Experience software is now showing clues to a device codenamed “mystique,” XDA reports. That code name seems to refer to a device with a 13.5″ LCD from Panasonic with a screen resolution of 3000×2000 pixels and a 3:2 ratio. The Microsoft Surface Book, among others, has such a display.

XDA concludes that it would be a 2-in-1 from information about a ‘desktop experience’ in the software. It supports three different modes: dynamic, tablet and desktop. Nvidia no longer has a tablet in its range after canceling its Shield tablet.

The soc would be a Tegra Xavier. XDA is skeptical because it is not sure of the current specs of the device. Initially, the manufacturer developed the ‘mystique’ with a Tegra X2 instead of a Xavier.

Nvidia has not responded to the product. The Shield Experience software where the info comes out has been released for the Shield TV. The Shield tablet has not been getting updates for some time.
