Nvidia doubles the price of the paid version of cloud gaming service GeForce NOW for new customers from 5 euros to 10 euros per month. Current subscribers can continue to use the service indefinitely for 5 euros per month, Nvidia says.

The service’s name is changing from Founders to Priority, Nvidia says. Customers can choose a subscription of 10 euros per month or 100 euros for a year. Those are the same prices as in dollars: for Americans it costs 10 dollars a month.

Founders subscription customers can continue to use the service for $5 per month as long as they continue to pay and as long as GeForce NOW remains available in their home country. The low price also expires as soon as they choose another payment method.

GeForce NOW has nearly ten million users, according to Nvidia; that’s far more than the six million Nvidia mentioned last month. There is also a free version with limited play time, which will remain. Geforce Now has been closed to everyone since last year. Nvidia’s GeForce NOW is a streaming service where gamers can run their previously purchased games on Nvidia hardware in the cloud. For example, games can be played on devices that do not have a powerful video card themselves.
