Nubia will release RedMagic 6 gaming smartphone on April 15 from 599 euros

Nubia will release its RedMagic 6 in Europe on April 15. The Android device with Snapdragon 888-soc is equipped with a built-in fan and has a 6.8 “OLED screen with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The gaming smartphone costs at least 599 euros.

Nubia is releasing a regular RedMagic 6 and a 6 Pro variant in Europe. Both get Qualcomms Snapdragon 888-soc with integrated 5G modem and the OLED screen with a high refresh rate. The regular model has 12GB Lpddr5 and 128GB UFS 3.1 flash storage, with the one hundred euros more expensive Pro version that is 16GB and 256GB.

Built into the housing is a small fan, which has 59 blades and can make up to 20,000 revolutions per minute. According to the manufacturer, this is accompanied by a noise production of about 28dB and the fan lasts 30,000 hours. In combination with a vapor chamber, this system should keep the smartphone cool during intensive use.

The housing has dimensions of 179.9×77.2×9.7mm, weighs 220 grams and is made of aluminum. This material was chosen to be able to dissipate the heat well. Like previous RedMagic phones, the new model has shoulder buttons and a game button on the case to launch the built-in game mode.

Like the RedMagic 5S, the new models have three cameras. Nubia now uses a Samsung sensor for the primary 64-megapixel camera. That’s the S5KGW3, a relatively small 1/1.97″ sensor with an area of ​​about 31 square millimeters and pixels of 0.7 microns. Furthermore, the RedMagic 6 has an 8-megapixel camera with ultra-wide-angle lens and a “macro” camera with 2 -megapixel sensor.

The phones have a 5050mAh battery and support fast charging with up to 66W, but Nubia includes a 30W charger in the box. The Asian version of the RedMagic 6 Pro also had support for fast charging up to 120W, but that is not the case with the European version. Furthermore, the European version has NFC, where the Chinese version does not.

The RedMagic 6 and 6 Pro can be ordered from April 9 on the European website of the manufacturer. The regular version costs 599 euros and the Pro variant with more ram and flash storage costs 699 euros. Nubia will deliver the devices from April 15.
