HMD, the Finnish company that releases smartphones under the Nokia brand name, has presented its top model. The Nokia 8 is equipped with a Snapdragon 835-soc and has a dual camera. In September, the Android 7.1.1 device for sale for 599 euros.
The dual cameras on the back both have a 13-megapixel resolution and 1.12 µm pixels. One of the cameras shoots pictures in color and has optical image stabilization, the other camera can only take black and white photos. Both are equipped with a Zeiss lens with an aperture of f/2.0 and the angle of view is the same. On the front is also a thirteen-megapixel camera, with the same pixel size and lens.
The Nokia 8 has a splash-proof housing that is made from a single piece of aluminum. The device includes the camera, which sticks out 0.4mm, is 7.9mm thick and weighs 160 grams. The IPS screen has a diagonal of 5.3 “and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. According to the manufacturer, the maximum brightness is 700cd/m² and the screen is equipped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The smartphone contains a Snapdragon 835 -soc and 4GB lpddr4x memory.There is 64GB of fast ufs 2.1 memory for storage and that can be expanded with a micro-SD card.
HMD has incorporated the fingerprint scanner into the home button and the device is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 3090mAh. The Nokia 8 must be charged via the USB-C connection. The device should be on the market in September in two shades of blue, copper and gray.
