No Man’s Sky Expedition Emergence Lets Players Ride Big Sandworms

Hello Games releases a new season update for No Man’s Sky. Among other things, this update adds a new expedition called Emergence. That expedition focuses on finding colossal sandworms, which players can also tame.

Hello Games writes that Emergence is the first No Man’s Sky expedition with a story. The expedition takes place on the arid planet of Wasan, where players are stranded. This world is ravaged by dust storms and ‘titanium worms’, according to Hello Games. Those are hulking sandworms plowing through the desert of Wasan. Players must find and destroy the impact sites of these titan worms. The expedition also includes a ‘dark story’ in which players will reveal the history of a cult.

The update adds several other improvements to the game in addition to the expedition. For example, No Man’s Sky is getting more diverse sandworm variants. Players can also tame a large sandworm companion and then feed, pet and ride it. The game’s particle effects are also being improved, and Hello Games is adding new cosmetic items, which serve as rewards for completing the Emergence Expedition.
