Nintendo has published the figures for the period April to September, and it shows that the Japanese game company has delivered over 91 percent more Switch games than in the same period last year. This number came to more than 42 million copies.

The half-year figures also show that the Nintendo Switch console has been delivered a total of 22.9 million times worldwide. In the second quarter of this year, this number was still 19.67 million. The Nintendo 3DS continues to lead the pack with total sales of 73.53 million units. In total, Nintendo shipped 5.07 million units of Nintendo Switch between April and September, of which 1.88 million were shipped in the first three months and 3.19 million in the second.

Released in late June, Mario Tennis Aces has sold 2.16 million copies worldwide in the past six months, with 460,000 copies sold in Japan and the remaining 1.7 million sold outside Japan. Only Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold even better; the title has sold 2.49 million copies worldwide in the past six months. In total, 44 million Switch titles were sold in the past six months, compared to 22 million in the same period last year.

Super Mario Odyssey is the best-selling Switch title with 12.17 million copies, followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with 11.71 million units, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has gone over 10.28 million times worldwide since its release. the counter. The sale of digital games and add-ons yielded 305 million euros, an increase of more than 71 percent compared to the period from April to October in 2017.

The profit in the past six months amounted to 479 million euros. That is an increase of over 53 percent; this figure was over 311 million euros in the same period a year earlier. Turnover rose slightly by 4 percent and amounted to more than 3 billion euros.
