Nintendo is introducing a remake of Super Mario RPG and a remaster of Luigi’s Mansion 2. These titles will both be released for the Nintendo Switch. The Super Mario RPG remake will be released on November 17. Luigi’s Mansion 2 will follow in 2024.

Super Mario RPG is a remake from the game of the same name that was released in 1996 for the SNES. This time the remake of this roleplaying game has 3D graphics and an isometric perspective. Well-known characters such as Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser appear in the remake. Mallow and Geno also return; those characters haven’t appeared in Mario titles since the 1996 RPG.

In addition to the Super Mario RPG, Nintendo also comes up with a remaster of Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon, a game that was released in Europe as Luigi’s Mansion 2. That game was originally released for the 3DS in 2013. The remaster will have improved graphics and will be released next year. Nintendo has not yet shared a concrete release date during its Direct presentation. In 2024, the Japanese game maker will also release a new Princess Peach game, about which few concrete details are known yet.
