Nikon introduces D750 DSLR and CoolPix S6900 ‘selfie camera’
In the run-up to the Photokina, Nikon announced the D750, a full-frame DSLR aimed at the professional user. Nikon also comes with the Coolpix S6900, a compact camera with a tilting LCD screen and a shutter button on the front for taking selfies.
The D750 features a new full-frame 24.3 megapixel CMOS sensor along with the Expeed 4 image processor. The dslr can shoot 6.5 frames per second in burst mode and has a 51-point autofocus sensor. When shooting videos, resolutions up to 1080p at up to 60 frames per second are possible. Nikon claims that the new cmos sensor delivers better image quality with less noise. The ISO range is between 100 and 12,800, expandable to equivalent 50-51,200. There is also an integrated time-lapse mode and seven effect modes are available: night vision, color sketch, miniature effect, selective color, silhouette, high-key and low-key.
Nikon has equipped the D750 with a 3.2″ LCD screen with 1,229,000 pixels that can be tilted through an angle of 90° up and 75° down.
