There are indications that OnePlus is again in the process of developing a smartwatch, after the company had put previous plans on hold. References to the OnePlus Watch appeared at a government agency.

OnePlus has not yet confirmed that it will release a smartwatch, but references have appeared to the arrival of such a device at the Infocomm Media Development Authority, a telecom authority in Singapore. The so-called OnePlus Watch has received certification, although no further details of the smartwatch have been released, the website 91Mobiles discovered. The OnePlus Watch has been given model number W301GB.

TechRadar has spoken to a former OnePlus employee who is said to have said the manufacturer has been working on the smartwatch for at least a year. Furthermore, the tech site could not obtain information, so it is unclear what the exact plans of OnePlus are.

For the time being, the Chinese manufacturer has mainly focused on smartphones, but wireless earplugs and a television have now also been marketed. Previously, the focus was still on smartphones, so things such as a smartwatch have been put on hold, CEO Carl Pei said a few years ago.
