Nanoleaf reports to retire its Nanoleaf Light Panels. The company will stop selling the triangular colored light panels it introduced in 2016. Nanoleaf will continue to support the panels for the time being.

Nanoleaf will stop selling the Rhythm Light Panels Smarter Kits. In 2016, the company started selling the eye-catching RGB panels under the name Nanoleaf Aurora. The company still has a small inventory of expansion kits and other accessories, but when they run out, availability stops completely, indicating that the company has already stopped production. The relevant products have been unavailable in the Pricewatch since the end of 2021.

The app will continue to support the panels and users will be able to group them into scenes with not only existing, but also future Nanoleaf products, the maker promises. The company makes no promises about how long it will continue to support the original lighting.

The cessation of the original triangles is not unexpected. In October, the company announced Triangles models in its Shapes series. Compared to the predecessors, these include touch-sensitive controls, support for the Thread protocol and less conspicuous unlit corners.
