Mydomain customers are experiencing email outages

Mydomain customers are having problems with the email environment of the service provider on Thursday and Friday. According to Mijndomein, the problems are due to a ‘major network outage at an important node’.

The problems with Mydomain’s email platform started at 10 a.m. Thursday morning when customers experienced synchronization issues in their email programs and folders turned out to be out of email. Thursday evening the problems seemed to be a thing of the past, but on Friday they resurfaced, according to the overview on the status page of the hosting provider.

At 12:00 on Friday, Mijndomein announced that the problems were the result of ‘a major network outage at an important node where e-mail traffic is handled’. The company is working to fix that outage, promising customers that all emails that come in will be delivered later.

Mijndomein has recently renewed its email platform, but it is unknown to what extent the problems are related to this.
