New details have surfaced online about the Intel Core i3-8100, i3-8300 and i3-8350K. In all cases, they would be quadcores, but contrary to a previous rumor they would not have hyperthreading.

A spec sheet has been published on the Chinese website PTT with the specifications of the Core i3-8100 and i3-8350K. It is not certain whether the sheet is real, but the data largely corresponds to previously leaked information. Both processors of the Coffee Lake generation are quad-cores and do not have hyperthreading. According to a recent rumor, the Core i3-8300 would get hyperthreading, but that may be incorrect.

Current i3s have two physical cores, but can have four threads via hyperthreading. According to the specifications, the new versions only have four physical cores, just like the current i5 CPUs. The Core i3-8350K seems to be the successor to the i3-7350K, a processor with unlocked multiplier that can be overclocked. The clock speed is 4GHz and there is 8MB L3 cache present. The Core i3-8100 has a speed of 3.6GHz and 6MB L3 cache.

Intel announced Tuesday that the eighth-generation Core processors will be presented on August 21. The manufacturer may itself release information about the Core i3, i5, and i7 models in the 8000 series on that date.
