Microsoft has announced the addition of the popular Minecraft game to its catalog of games available to Xbox Game Pass owners. This will happen from April 4.

According to Microsoft, the game from developer Mojang now has more than 91 million players and from April 4 it will also be available for those who do not yet own Minecraft, but who have a subscription to the Xbox Game Pass. They also get all the free game updates from the game.

With the addition of Minecraft to the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has added another big, well-known title to the service. For example, subscribers can already play Xbox games like Forza Horizon 4, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and Gears of War 4. The total catalog consists of more than a hundred games.

Microsoft acquired Mojang in 2014 for just under two billion euros. Not surprisingly, the title is coming out for Xbox Game Pass; the game has been available on all sorts of other platforms for quite some time now. Support for crossplay for players on PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS and Xbox followed last year. This is not possible with the PlayStation 4.
