Microsoft is adding the Nordic countries to Flight Simulator in a free update. This makes Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden much more detailed in Microsoft’s flight simulator.

Update 1.17.3.0 is available immediately on PC. While the Scandinavian countries could already be flown in Flight Simulator, the world updates add more detail to specific areas. Earlier this year, the Benelux also received a similar update, which shows major cities, monuments and airports in more detail in the game.

The Nordics update for Flight Simulator has focused on major cities such as Copenhagen and Stockholm. Also well-known monuments are now clearly visible in the game when you fly over them in good weather, such as the Lego House in Denmark or the Arctic Cathedral at the very top of Norway.

The developers have also reviewed and developed 100 airports and added a total of 78 special places to the simulator. Think of castles, churches, stadiums and other striking buildings.

Last week Microsoft announced DLC for the first time. According to the company, players can expect more such expansions.
