Microsoft plans to stop offering personalized email addresses to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family users. Support will end at the end of November 2023.

Current Outlook users who use a custom domain name for email addresses will keep it, as Microsoft states on a support page. Although existing personalized email addresses will continue to work after November 30, 2023, it will no longer be possible to create new personalized email addresses from that point on.

Microsoft warns that it will not be possible to recover a personalized Outlook.com email address after November 30, 2023 if it has been deleted. Users who no longer have access to their deleted personalized email address or wish to create a new one after that date will be redirected to the Microsoft 365 Business plans.

Last month, Microsoft announced that it would almost completely stop using the Office brand name, permanently changing the name from Office 365 to Microsoft 365.
