Microsoft says it is working with Apple on a solution to the problems with iCloud for Windows. The Apple software is not compatible with the Windows 10 October Update. PCs running iCloud won’t get the new Windows update for now.

Microsoft has posted the details about the issues on its Windows 10 update page. It states that the company is working with Apple on a solution and that it will come in a “next version” of the Windows 10 October Update. It is not clear when the update will be available. Due to the problems with iCloud in combination with the October Update, photo albums are not updated or synced correctly.

Windows users who have iCloud installed will not get the Windows 10 October Update pushed to their systems for now. Microsoft does not recommend that users manually download the update. If you have already installed the update and try to install iCloud, you will see a message that Windows version 1809 is not compatible.

Last week, Microsoft resumed releasing the Windows 10 October Update after the rollout was halted for more than a month due to issues with files disappearing. In addition to the problems with iCloud, there are also other bugs. It turned out that there are still problems with network drives and the new Windows version is also not compatible with old AMD Radeon GPUs. On systems with HD2000 or HD4000 series video cards, tabs in Edge may crash. Microsoft says it is investigating the issue.
