Microsoft is said to have sold a total of 19 million Xbox One copies to date. This is evident from an estimate of the combined Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sales, which was mentioned during EA’s announcement of the figures.

EA chief executive Blake Jorgensen said during the company’s quarterly earnings release that it has sold an estimated 55 million units to date, a report found. Microsoft hasn’t announced exact sales figures for the Xbox One for a long time, but Sony is still doing this for the PlayStation 4.

For example, the company recently claimed that it has sold more than 35 million units of the console to date. So the simple calculation is quickly made, with Microsoft coming out at about 19 million copies of the Xbox One. According to Jorgensen, the number of consoles sold exceeds expectations and sales numbers are already 50 percent higher than the previous generation of consoles.

Earlier quarterly figures from Microsoft only showed that the number of consoles sold had decreased compared to the previous quarter. The company reported at the time that the number of Xbox Live users had grown to 39 million. However, this number is spread over several platforms.
